Pikey Peak Trekking is an enjoyable and exciting country walk around the hidden pockets of the southern Everest range. Located in Nepal’s Mid-East Himalaya within the district of Solu, populated by mixed hill tribes, especially the famed Sherpa. An opportunity for trekkers to immerse in rural hill villages farm activities and immense cultures.

The Pikey Peak Viewpoint Trekking leads around Sherpa villages adorned with the traditional heritage of the Buddhist religion. One of the most fascinating and mesmerizing scenic walks on the hidden trails of the Everest region.

A perfect and ideal adventure of a moderate trek with a steep climb to the top of Pikey Peak View Point. Pikey is a high scenic hill, actually not a peak, where most people in the tourism industry have tagged as a peak. The peaks in Nepal Himalayas are above 5,500 m high, whereas Pikey hill is 4,302 m high.

Even Kalapathar hill at 5,545 m, located close to Everest base camp is not considered a peak. The right name would be Pikey View-Point Hill rather than a peak; which has created great confusion among the trekkers.

Pikey Peak View-Point, starts from the nice village of Phaplu, after an exciting long drive from Kathmandu. From Phaplu village with time to explore the local interesting cultures of the Sherpa. The walk follows through several farm villages and into a cool forest reaching the base of Pikey Hill.

An early morning climb on a winding steep path within a dense forest of rhododendron and pine to reach high Pikey Hill. Catch the stunning sunrise, as it reflects over the Himalayan range of peaks, facing views of Mt. Everest.

Besides the views of Everest, the scenic high ridge of Pikey offers a 360° wide panorama of Himalayan snow peaks. Overlooking Mt. Ganesh, Langtang, and Jugal Himal towards the north with majestic Mt. Gaurishankar, Everest, and Lhotse.

The panorama extends as far as Mt. Makalu and Mt. Kanchenjunga, an amazing spot covering 4-5 of the world’s highest peaks.

After a glorious morning view of the Himalayan series of snow peaks with rolling green hills and valleys. Return journey on an alternative route downhill with uphill to the lovely large Sherpa village at Junbesi.

Enjoying a pleasant time in Junbesi last day walk to Phaplu, for the last overnight halt around the lower side of Everest. Next early morning an interesting drive brings you to Kathmandu, after a wonderful adventure on Pikey Peak View-Point Trekking.
