Mohare Danda Trekking is an adventure for all types of visitors and adventurers as the trek leads to moderate heights. Safe from altitude sickness as the elevation gains slowly and gradually to reach the highest point at Mohare Danda.
Mohare Danda at 3,300 m and 10,827 feet high, offers a spectacular panorama of the world’s three highest mountain ranges.
Namely Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m) and
Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m) with an array of snow peaks. One of the best viewpoints that one can enjoy and experience in less than a week time frame. The charm and beauty of Mohare Danda trekking is following the silent trails in the harmony of a pristine environment. The walk leads through a lovely dense forest of oaks, rhododendron, pines, and fir tree lines, encountering rural farm areas. An interesting country walk through lovely villages adorned with age-old traditional heritage and culture, make the trek more delightful.
Mohare Danda Trekking begins on reaching a beautiful city in Pokhara, blessed with natural wonders of snow peaks and lakes.
From Pokhara head west to the large town of Beni, where our adventure starts on leaving the low warm farm areas. The climb leads to cooler hills, walking through a rural farm village and entering a dense forest, then reaching an open green field.
Where Mohare Danda is located, with breathtaking and stupendous views of the towering snow mountain range. Staying in the comfort of a nice mountain lodge, next early morning enjoy the stunning sunrise over the Himalayan range.
After an enjoyable moment on top of Mohare Danda viewpoint, the return journey is downhill, taking an alternative route to end the trek.
A few hours of exciting drives bring you to scenic Pokhara, where our wonderful adventure on Mohare Danda concludes.

The drive continues facing grand views of Annapurna Himalayas, then reaching a large town of Beni. Finally drive ends heading further at a small village of Galeshwor, located on the bank of Kaligandaki River. At Galeshwor having lunch, then start the first day trek with slow climb uphill past smaller village with farm terraces. After a good walk of few hours, reaching Base-Kharka with few simple houses for overnight halt. These simple huts and cottage, serves as Home Stay, run and managed by the local village community.

Start the morning walk with gradual climb through lush green forest path, facing views of snow peaks and surrounding gorgeous landscapes. After a steady climb with few refreshing stops then reaching Nangi, a small settlement for overnight halt. In the comfort of a nice simple lodge, with time to explore the local organic farm field. The organic farm maintained for an educational purpose to boost the local economy of local Magar tribe community. Magar are the main hill tribes of Western Nepal, also spread all around the country.

When is the best time to book for Mohare Danda Trek?
Nearly all seasons of the year, except for wet monsoon times of July and August and middle of winter January and February.
The best and favorable time is in spring from March to May, where most days are sunny. This is the time when wildflowers are in seasonal bloom, especially the rhododendron of various colors and species. Morning and night time as well in shade will be much colder, the day time is warm for pleasant walk and views.
Could rain in the late afternoon with snow fall sometimes during this best season of the year.
How are the foods and accommodation on this trek?
Mohare Danda trek, leads to sheer wilderness beyond main villages and human civilization for some days. The walk leads you on the off beaten tracks away from main popular trekking routes. Where lodges are very simple but neat and comfortable, the foods are basic serving Nepali, some Chinese and Indian meals during the whole trip. The rooms are with common toilet and bathroom facilities, where trekkers needs to pay for using hot shower or bathe.
How much money do we carry for the trek?
Not much to spend on this Mohare Danda Trekking, as the walk leads beyond villages and main settlement. Nothing to buy much except at Pokhara or in Kathmandu. The only money to spend is on the last day where you can enjoy party with fellow members. Including staff, guide and porters, where you can buy hard drinks and chilled beer at Tikot village or enjoy the local homemade brew.
Saving some cash in Nepali Rupees for gratitude and tipping to the trekking staff, guide and porters. Can carry approx. NRS 5000 to 8,000 per person for tipping and spending on soft or hard drinks.
What religion and culture do we come across on this trek?
On this trek to Mohare Danda area, the first and last day walk around lower warm farm areas populated by mixed tribes of people Magar, Gurung with Chettries and Brahmins. Of both Hindu religions and cultures, coming across few temples and shrines.
Upper hill villages are mainly inhabited by the Magar indigenous ancient tribes of Western Himalayas. The Magar people practice both Hindu and Buddhism religions and cultures.
Do we get facilities to charge our electronic gadgets and cell phones?
Mohare Danda trekking located away from the major facilities of hydroelectricity. On leaving the Beni town, within pure wilderness of dense forest and mountainous region, far from villages and towns. But on overnight lodges and Home Stay huts, the lodge will have solar power. Trekkers can recharge their electronic items, paying an extra cost of each items for charging on hour basis.
