Everest Expedition, where you will stop and standing at 8,848 m / 29,028 ft high. Since early as 1950’s many mountaineers tried to climb this world highest mountain from both side, in 1953 was the big year when British Expeditions led by Sir John Hunt Expeditions acclaimed fame with legendary and late Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, the first two stand on top of world high Mt. Everest, from then other mountaineers followed suit.
From South Col of Everest, much safer climbing than from North Face, the climb from Nepal South Side is totally different, demanding a lifetime experience. Mt. Everest expedition with View Nepal Treks will be the safest and enjoyable adventures, as we provide expert logistic support throughout the climb with full safety measure accompanied by veteran climbing guides who have climbed Everest several times including other high mountains.
Starting with a scenic flight to Lukla and walking into interesting Sherpa village of Buddhist culture in the harmony of high mountains and nature, walk leads through lovely rhododendron, magnolia, firs, and pine forest and then much higher into windswept landscapes of rocks, moraines, and Glaciers at Everest base camp.
On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, received by View Nepal Treks staff with warm welcome and transfer to respective hotels with a briefing regarding Everest trek, hotels, lodge on route with do and don’ts with evening group welcome dinner.

Morning, transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport for scenic short to a flight of 30 minutes, overlooking views of mountain range with Mt. Everest. On reaching Lukla, here with time for short rest and then start the first day walk to Phakding village for the overnight stop. As route leads past many interesting farm villages, a nice pleasant trek with few short ups and gradual trails to reach at Phakding by Dudh Kosi River.

After a nice morning, walk continues crossing bridges over Dudh Kosi River passing several interesting villages of Toc-Toc, Bhenkar and Monjo arriving at Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate, from here on the river bed for few hours and after the last bridge a steep uphill to Namche Bazaar, at Namche with facilities of good restaurant, pubs, cyber café, post office, and banks.

From Namche on a pleasant trail with downhill to Imjatse River at Phunge-Tenga for lunch, afternoon walk uphill into rhododendron, pines, firs tree forest with views of snowcapped peaks. On reaching Thyangboche visit its monastery with the magnificent panorama of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kangtenga, Thamserku, Kwande and majestic Amadablam.

A necessary rest day at Pheriche for proper acclimatization before heading Everest base camp and to our goal Island Peak climb, as from here altitude gains more. Pheriche with views Face of Amadablam North Face, a short high climb on the ridge provides views of world’s 5th highest Mt. Makalu and Amphu Labtsa peak including Island peak.

After resting at Pheriche, morning walk on flat valley than with short climb for an hour to Thugla for lunch where Khumbu glacier melts into a raging river. At Thugla trail from Dingboche and Pheriche joins. After a lunch stop a steep climb for an hour to Thulga pass, here witness memorials of unfortunate climbers who died climbing Mt. Everest, Lhotse and other high mountains. From here a nice pleasant walk brings to Lobuche for an overnight stop.

From Lobuche, our route leads closer to our destination at Everest Base Camp, as morning walk leads to gentle uphill with a short steep climb in between glacier and moraine to Gorakshep. Gorakshep located beneath Mt. Pumori and Kalapathar viewpoint hill. After Gorakshep walk further east to Everest Base Camp, where route leads over moraine and glaciers then finally reaching on the foot of Everest at base camp. Enjoy glorious views of massive Khumbu Ice Fall and glaciers, after completing an adventure of a lifetime experience walk back to Gorakshep for the overnight halt.

Today after gathering all climbing gears from the porters and Yaks busy sorting out the equipment and planning with few practices before the final event to the top of world number one peak.

Start preparing for the climb to the summit encountering great technical effort through massive tumbling boulders of Khumbu Ice Falls it will be an incredible experience. From Everest base camp which is at 5,364m. expedition from South is technically difficult encountering Khumbu Ice-fall, all these route will be taken care by our climbing guides and staff in keeping the route safe with necessary secure measure taken, from here needs positive attitude with physical and mental effort to attempts this climbing adventure. Most of the expeditions sets 4-5 camps before the summit bid, however with our climbing days for 25 days we will using at least 4 or 5 camps to reach the top of Everest.
The last camp will be at South Col ridge which connects to Lhotse peak also. The final climb leads to cross the last section on Hillary step to reach the top summit. The Hillary step a technical section of this climb beside Khumbu Ice Falls, climbing from South Col route is technically straightforward than the North Col (Tibet side), except for Khumbu Icefalls. During 2 weeks or more one can start loading and carrying gears to Camp I and Camp II, in the Western Cwm. Once everyone is well acclimatized, Camp I will be mostly by-passed en-route for Camp II, which will become an Advance Base Camp.
The route to this point will involve crossing the crevasses on ladders, jumaring up serac walls and a long tedious plod-up the Western Cwm. Camp III will be halfway up near Lhotse Face at 7,400 meters high, from here a long rising traverse across the snow slopes, a yellow band of rock and the Geneva Spur leads to the South Col and Camp IV. As per favorable weather conditions follow our lead guide and leaders to the summit on top of the world at 8,848m (29,028 ft.). Some have measured as 8,850 m high but not yet confirmed. After a mind-blowing experience of lifetime adventure feeling high on top of the world descend back safely towards base camp using few camps on route downhill.

We have allowed two days after Lukla for reserve day and as well to submit expeditions report to concern Nepal Government Department regarding the climb and activities of the expeditions.
