From Gokyo heading to our next adventure crossing high Cho-la (Tsho-la) at 5,367 m towards Everest Base Camp, at 5,334 m / 17,500 ft. marvel the views of Ice falls and glaciers. After a wonderful time back to Lukla through interesting Tyangboche monastery, from Lukla a short flight to Kathmandu with a great guidance of View Nepal guides.

Morning, transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport for scenic short to a flight of 30 minutes, overlooking views of mountain range with Mt. Everest. On reaching Lukla, here with time for short rest and then start the first day walk to Phakding village for the overnight stop. As route leads past many interesting farm villages, a nice pleasant trek with few short ups and gradual trails to reach at Phakding by Dudh Kosi River.

After a nice morning, walk continues crossing bridges over Dudh Kosi River passing several interesting villages of Toc-Toc, Bhenkar and Monjo arriving at Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate, from here on the river bed for few hours and after the last bridge a steep uphill to Namche Bazaar, at Namche with facilities of good restaurant, pubs, cyber café, post office, and banks.

From Namche on a gradual scenic path with downhill to Imjatse river at Phunge-Tenga for lunch, and then uphill through rhododendron, pines, firs tree forest with views of snowcapped peaks. On reaching Thyangboche visit famous Buddhist monastery with the magnificent panorama of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kangtenga, Thamasarku, Kwande and majestic Amadablam.

Morning downhill walks for few hours over Imjatse River, after the bridge walk on an open country where tree lines fade for few short juniper and dwarf rhododendron bushes, uphill for a while to reach at Pangboche village at 3,900 meters. Last permanent village before Dingboche and beyond, from here a slow climb to Somara for lunch and continue to walk with a climb to Dingboche village for an overnight stop, located in Imjatse valley with a panorama of mountains.

After a great rest at Dingboche morning walk with steep climb for an hour commanding excellent views, and then on gentle trail to Thugla for lunch where Khumbu glacier melts into a raging river, here trail from Pheriche joins after a break a steep climb for an hour to Thulga pass, with stone memorials of unfortunate climbers who died climbing Mt. Everest, Lhotse and other high mountains. From here a nice pleasant walk brings to Lobuche for an overnight stop.

Today reach the highlight of this adventure at Everest Base Camp, walk for few hours with a short steep climb in between over glacier and moraine, reaching Gorakshep, beneath Mt. Pumori and Kalapathar. Walk continues towards Everest Base Camp, at base camp enjoy the view of notorious Kuhmbu Ice Fall and glaciers, after fulfilling the dreams of lifetime experience retrace the journey back to Goarkshep for an overnight halt.

From our base at Gorak Shep we continue to climb this time hiking up Kalapathar. Leaving as early as possible to take advantage of the morning light, the panoramic views of Everest and the surrounding mountains, as we reach our destination of the Kalapathar viewpoint. This day early in the morning we have steep climb up to the top of Gokyo Ri (5483m / 19083ft) ample rewards to one attempts this trip. There are stunning views of the supper Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier and an incredible panoramic view of the whole Khumbu Himalayas, such as giants as Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu (8481m), Cho-Oyu (8153m) and Gychung Kang (7922m) can be seen. Those who explore the glacier and Gokyo peak are rewarded. Overnight at guest house.
