View Nepal Treks offers an adventure and combination of social and volunteer work around rural farm village in Mid West Nepal with trekking on world highest trail to Everest base camp. A delightful and enjoyable trip with a memorable experience in our Everest Base Camp Volunteer Services programs where you will have the best of Nepal adventure with your help and support around the local farm villages.
View Nepal Treks have set this program for interested people who would like to visit for the adventure holiday and as well lending hand and support around affected villages from 29th April and 12th May 2016 earthquake which shook Mid West / East Nepal.
Everest Base Camp Volunteer Services program starts first with a scenic flight to Lukla to reach Lukla, from here walking into interesting Sherpa village of Buddhist culture with views of high mountains. The walk leads into a lovely forest of rhododendron, magnolia, firs, and pine trees, much higher into windswept landscapes of rocks, moraines, and glaciers.
Trekking past Namche and Dingboche with acclimatization days and visit of Thyangboche monastery heading higher terrain into ice, moraine and glacier at Everest Base Camp with super views and retracing back to Lukla for the flight to Kathmandu, to start our another interesting activities around Mid West Nepal for volunteer work for few days with much help and support rebuilding the damage villages and bringing back the smile of local people.
On arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, received by View Nepal Treks staff and guide and then transfer to your hotels. After checking into rooms and getting refreshed joining at meeting place for Everest Base Camp trek briefing, hotels, lodge on the route with doing and don’ts includes welcome dinner.

Morning, transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport for scenic short to a flight of 30 minutes, overlooking views of mountain range with Mt. Everest. On reaching Lukla, here with time for short rest and then start the first day walk to Phakding village for the overnight stop. As route leads past many interesting farm villages, a nice pleasant trek with few short ups and gradual trails to reach at Phakding by Dudh Kosi River.

After a nice morning, walk continues crossing bridges over Dudh Kosi River passing several interesting villages of Toc-Toc, Bhenkar and Monjo arriving at Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate, from here on the river bed for few hours and after the last bridge a steep uphill to Namche Bazaar, at Namche with facilities of good restaurant, pubs, cyber café, post office, and banks.

From Namche on a pleasant trail with downhill to Imjatse River at Phunge-Tenga for lunch, afternoon walk uphill into rhododendron, pines, firs tree forest with views of snowcapped peaks. On reaching Thyangboche visit its monastery with the magnificent panorama of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kangtenga, Thamserku, Kwande and majestic Amadablam.

Morning walks on the downhill for an hour to Imjatse River, after crossing a bridge heading into the exposed country where tree lines drop for few short junipers and dwarf rhododendron bushes. As walk progress reaching Pangboche village above 3,900 meters, the last permanent village, others places on the route are a temporary settlement with lodges to cater the need of trekkers. From Pangboche a slow climb to Somara as walk carries on with an uphill to reach at Dingboche village for the overnight stop, located in Imjatse valley within giant mountains.

After a good rest at Dingboche, morning walk leads to a short steep climb with excellent views of nearby peaks, after a short climb then on the pleasant trail to Thugla. At Thugla where Khumbu glacier melts into a river, at Thuglat path from Pheriche and Dingboche joins. Having a refreshing break walk leads to a climb above Thugla, here you can notice many stone memorials of unfortunate climbers who demised on Mt. Everest, Lhotse mountaineering expeditions and other high mountains. From here a nice pleasant walk brings to Lobuche for overnight stop located at the bottom of Lobuche peaks and near to Khumbu massive glacier.

From Lobuche, our route leads closer to our destination at Everest Base Camp, as morning walk leads to gentle uphill with a short steep climb in between glacier and moraine to Gorakshep. Gorakshep located beneath Mt. Pumori and Kalapathar viewpoint hill. After Gorakshep walk further east to Everest Base Camp, where route leads over moraine and glaciers then finally reaching on the foot of Everest at base camp. Enjoy glorious views of massive Khumbu Ice Fall and glaciers, after completing an adventure of a lifetime experience walk back to Gorakshep for the overnight halt.

Morning adventure leads you on top Kalapathar above 5,545 meters highest point of the trip, few hours of strenuous climb rewards you with an incredible panorama of mountains and of Mt. Everest at close distance. After catching breath-taking views descend to Gorakshep for breakfast and then continue to walk downhill to Pheriche within a windy valley for the possible lunch break and then walk to Pangboche village for the overnight stop.

Our return journey is more pleasant on losing heights every hour on downhill walks. Few ups to Thyangboche after the bridge and then back into green vegetation covered with tall trees all the way to Thyangboche Monastery. After a refreshing stop at Thyangboche, walk leads to a descend reaching at Imjatse River. From here a steep climb for an hour to Sanasa, and then on gradual walks to reach at Namche Bazaar for the overnight stop.

Our last day walks lead you to downhill reaching at Dudh Kosi River. From here walk past Jorsalle to Sagarmatha National Park gate (Sagarmatha for Everest in Nepalese) and then to Monjo village, from here following the router to Phakding. After Phakding few hour of good trek reaches you at Lukla, in Lukla enjoy the night with celebration among fellow trekkers and staff.

Reserved a spare or a contingency day in Kathmandu, where a flight from Lukla can get delayed or canceled due to unfavorable bad weather that might happen as Himalayan weather can be unpredictable sometimes. If all goes well according to our standard itinerary one can enjoy a free day or sightseeing tour around Kathmandu-Patan and Bhaktapur.

Today our journey leads to Mid West Nepal at Dhading with an overland drive on Nepal busiest and the main highway, on reaching Trisuli River over the bridge with another few hours reaching at Dhadingbesi the center of Dhading district. Meet the local people and walk to the volunteer project area and survey the damaged villages with overnight in local homestay or camping.

Around Dhading hills and villages much damaged took place from 2016 April and May earthquake with many death tolls as well. The village life is slowly returning back to normal life and daily activities with some help and support from Government and private sectors. However much work to be done with lack of manpower in rebuilding some of the unfinished work building houses-schools and broken trails.
Our guide and head person of the village will inform and brief you of local culture and traditions along with help needed to build most of the houses and walking trails. Start the morning volunteer program helping as much to rebuild the shattered village during 2 days time, its farm houses-schools and broken trails our guide and village head person will lead you to volunteer sites.
Starting after breakfast joining hand in hand with the locals laying stones and bricks working for few hours till lunch and then carry on till late afternoon, completing some of the important works for the day.
Next day carries on with daily routine in rebuilding places of destruction from houses-schools-path including maintaining water supply to the village.
